Statement of Wonderfulness
In Celebration of
Director of Student Affairs Research & Evaluation
You have shown outstanding leadership. Prior to your leadership, we struggled greatly in our effort to mount an assessment effort in Student Affairs. Under your leadership we have amassed a remarkable body of work. You have nurtured the Assessment Council to a high level of performance. Through your leadership, the Council has become a dynamic learning community and leadership team. Members of that group have expressed their great appreciation for the thoughtful and patient approach that you have taken to help them deepen their learning and undertake planning, related to assessment. Your work and impact have spanned beyond the boundaries of Student Affairs, you have worked with faculty groups, academic units, and local school leaders. Your presentations have helped our university colleagues to better understand students’ needs and experience.
You have raised the visibility of the good work being done by units through the publication of Perspectives and built a comprehensive approach to assessing student expectations, perceptions and experiences. Most importantly, you have been a positive, encouraging and supportive colleague and leader - you have been accessible and engaged. You have invested yourself in the personal success of your colleagues. Your leadership has been exemplary.
