Patti Brady-Glassman - Student Affairs Service Award 2003-04
Statement of Wonderfulness
In Celebration of
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Patti Brady-Glassman is the Associate Director of the Financial Aid Office, and has been described by her co-workers as approachable, committed, knowledgeable and compassionate. She is someone the students keep coming back to. No matter how busy Patti is, or how demanding her day, she is always available when someone needs her help.
She is involved in many areas within the Financial Aid & Scholarships office. She coordinates Oregon Student Assistance, the Ford Scholars program, the Oregon Opportunity Grants and Oregon OBP Financial Aid Night. Outside her official duties, and in order to take the very best care of Oregon State students, Patti has served on a committee dedicated to creating and implementing a method of integrating all campus scholarships
Patti was nominated for this award for her ‘above and beyond the call of duty’ approach to her position in Financial Aid. She doesn’t just answer questions, she goes beyond the answer to explain and inform. When people go to Patti with a question that could be answered with just a yes or a no, they not only leave with the answer, but with an explanation and with the feeling they have been well taken care of. She is seen as an invaluable resource by her colleagues, students and others, and has inspired others to the point that she has a bit of a fan club with folks that look up to her! Staff believe in Patti and hold her up as someone to emulate.
Patti demonstrates the values of the Campus Compact with her caring attitude toward her job and colleagues. She does her best to do well by students by providing them with assistance whenever she can.
We can be very proud of Patti and the work she does here at OSU on behalf of our students. Thank you, Patti, for all you do.
